Zulu bowls by Ilala Weavers

Description

Every Zulu basket is made by hand using indigenous materials, usually ilala palm and the bark of wild bananas, or a combination of both.  The type of basket varies from area to area, and purpose for which a basket is to be used. Some baskets can take a month to make with its unique pattern, size, shape, weave and colour.  They are truly works of art. Our round bowls are available in 3 patterns, measure  28 cm diameter, 10 cm height.  Handcrafted in Kwazulu Natal, South Africa
